Programs and Services

The Multiple Disabilities (MD) Program, is an inclusive educational program catering to students in grades K-12, up to age 22. This program is specifically tailored to individuals with two or more disabilities who possess unique strengths and needs that impact their educational performance.

The primary objective of the MD Program is to deliver comprehensive instruction and experiential learning opportunities in various domains, including mathematics, language arts, science, social studies, social skills, communication, behavior, daily living skills, and pre-vocational/vocational skills.

A educational team, alongside families, collaboratively develops and implements specially designed instruction and training programs for each student. These programs are carefully crafted based on a thorough assessment of the student's strengths and needs. As students progress into the middle and high school levels, the program places increased emphasis on community training. This facet of the program equips students with essential job-related skills and daily living abilities, paving the way for a successful transition into both the community and the workforce.

The MD Program operates on an individualized approach that seeks to capitalize on each student's strengths while addressing their unique challenges. A significant emphasis is placed on promoting appropriate behaviors and fostering the acquisition of skills that will enable students to attain independence and self-reliance as they transition into adult life. By nurturing these essential qualities, the MD Program aims to empower students to lead fulfilling and autonomous lives beyond their educational journey.

The Emotional Disabilities (ED) Program is a specialized educational program that serves students in grades K-12, offering both academic instruction and comprehensive mental health services. The program encompasses core subjects such as reading, language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science.

Each student's education is tailored to their unique abilities and requirements as outlined in their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Instruction is personalized to ensure optimal growth and progress. Moreover, the program places a strong emphasis on equipping students with career and college-ready skills, particularly during their middle and high school years.

The ED Program recognizes the significance of mental health and offers a range of therapeutic interventions. Students receive mental health support through both group and individual therapy sessions. Open lines of communication between therapists and teachers foster a collaborative approach, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of students' needs. This collaboration ensures the delivery of appropriate and effective support services.

The overarching objective of the ED Program is to establish educational and behavioral goals, while simultaneously strengthening students' social and emotional skills. By focusing on these essential aspects, the program aims to develop transferable skills that empower students to thrive in a traditional school setting.
